More than 25,000 students visited the IIT Mumbai Techfest event 2010 from various universities and colleges in India.

ESS Software Distribution & Consulting (P) Ltd, the Exclusive distributor of ESET products in the Indian market, sponsored the IIT Mumbai’s Techfest 2010 event held during 22nd Jan 2010 to 24th Jan 2010.

Around 1500 interested students as well as customer registered at the ESET India stall which was placed in the IIT Powai Campus fr om 22nd Jan 2010 to 24th Jan 2010. During the event emphasis was given on the customer education about the technology used in ESET products to combat the evolving internet threats. Students were also educated on the technical specification, superior technology used in ESET products and its competitive pricing in the India AV market. ESET team members gave online demos, presentation and distributed the information broachers among the students. ESET T-shirts, ESET NOD32 antivirus Box packs with one year subscription and ESET Smart Security 30 day’s trial version CDs were distributed among the winners as well as participants in various activities and programs arranged by IIT Mumbai during Techfest 2010.
During the Techfest event, a special scheme was introduced for the students. The scheme was “At price of single user get a three user box pack”. A Special discount of 25% on the MRP was given to students for the spot purchase which was valid for three days during the event. Most of the students grabbed the opportunity and purchased the ESET NOD 32 box pack to secure their systems.
“Techfest was a pleasant experience. Although it was Sunday (on 24th Jan 2010 last day of the event) our stall was attended by more than 1000 students, professionals as well as corporate clients. Most of the students were aware of ESET and those who were not aware about ESET were excited to know about it” said Mr. Bimal Shah, Regional Head, ESS Software Distribution & Consulting (P) Ltd.
“We have targeted the students who would be at a managerial position in the near future through Tech Fest event. Our emphasis was to generate brand awareness and brand pull for ESET products in Mumbai market which offer huge potential for Antivirus products. Begin a part of well known event like Techfest we have achieved our set targets. We have almost distributed 5000 trial version CDs in just three days. We have plans to participate in such events in coming quarter. Such events would definitely beneficial in long run” said Mr. Amit Misra, Country Head, ESS Software Distribution & Consulting (P) Ltd.
