Wednesday, May 30, 2012 Acer, the world’s 2nd largest notebook vendor has yet again redefined the market for notebooks with the launch of S, M V3, V5 & E series under its Aspire range. Acer has launched more than 30 models in the new range of notebooks that will meet the diverse requirements of its customers; be it a business executive, a gizmo geek, today’s style conscious youth or the diligent learner. The new notebooks will focus on providing excellent performance combined with enhanced entertainment features and classy design.






Unveiling the new range of products, Mr. S Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India said, “Being true to our new brand tagline “Explore Beyond Limits”, the new range of notebooks will allow users to discover and experience new age computing. Over the last few quarters, we were focused on strengthening our product portfolio by leveraging the latest in technology. Acer yet again brings a rich suite of technological innovations - some unique to Acer and some unique to the industry, across this range of notebooks. Thus personifying Acer's diligence in blending features and benefits at compelling unmatched value proposition to its customers. Acer once again takes primacy in unleashing a wave of slim and powerful devices for the masses. With this Aspire range, we will comfortably address the requirements of both the premium and the value conscious customer. We expect this new range to significantly contribute to our overall business revenues.”

The five new categories launched under the Aspire range including the S, M, V3, V5 & E series.

M series: Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 is slimmer and lighter, measuring just 20 mm thin, under 2.3 kg weight. The new Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 delivers responsive Ultrabook™ performance for cutting-edge productivity and enjoyment. The design packs has raised the bar by being the first Ultrabook™ inspired by Intel with dedicated NVIDIA® GeForce® GT640M graphics (Industry first) & is powered by the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processors, to make modern multitasking fast and brilliant. The 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processors and superior dedicated graphics ensures faster navigation and multitasking even with graphics-intensive gaming and multimedia apps. Within just 1.5 seconds Acer Instant On wakes the Ultrabook™ up from sleep, and within another 2.5 seconds users have access to internet, thanks to Acer Always Connect. Also, while users are away, all contents will be automatically refreshed. So in just a few seconds users are up and running connected to the Internet and completely updated.

The hard disk drive offers plenty of space for large files, and its integrated solid state drive enables instant-on capability. The embedded Li-polymer battery pack provides more than 8 hours of use and lasts 80 days in Deep Sleep mode using Acer Green Instant On. Acer's PowerSmart long-life battery, with 1000 cycle charge ensures that the battery retains capacity for up to 4 years of use.

The Aspire Timeline Ultra M3 is also the first 15" Ultrabook to feature an optical drive for DVD. Other entertainment enhancements include Dolby® Home Theater® v4 and premium speakers. The professionally-tuned sound system delivers industry-leading high volume, clear dialogue and sound effects for music, movies and games. M series starts at Rs 51999+tax.

During the launch, Mr Prashanth Adiraju, Director, New Platforms Business Group, Intel South Asia said, “We are happy to join hands with Acer to unveil their new product range. Today consumers are no longer casual PC users but extremely tech savvy users who want to experience modern age computing. These notebooks are optimized for today’s digital needs making it powerful with great multimedia features for both business and entertainment.”

V5 Series: This elegant and sleek form factor re-defines the notebook design. Aspire V5; the first of its kind is 30 per cent slimmer and 10 per cent lighter than the traditional notebooks. Powered by 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ processor family and configured with NVIDIA® GeForce GT Series graphics. Available in a range of screen sizes, customers can choose the one that suits their lifestyle best.

Acer Instant Connect gets you online in just 2.5 seconds at hotspots where users have connected before, so just walking into your favourite coffee shop will get you online. Sharing files among digital devices is also quick and well-adapted via super-fast USB 3.0, a multi-in-1 card slot, and Bluetooth® 4.0. The Aspire V5 Series with Acer eRecovery Management restores your PC to disc on the optical drive and your personal assets are well-protected. And, Acer Backup Manager offers flexible backup and restores features. V5 series starts at Rs 27999+Tax.

V3 Series: Aspire V3 Series keeps you ahead of digital trends with its timeless style and sharp computing. Aspire V3 is powered by the 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors & comes with upto 2GB NVIDIA® GeForce® graphics. It also features Dolby Home theaterV4 that lets you easily multitask modern creative applications, enjoy gaming, movies and a lot more. V3 series is a powerhouse for entertainment and performance enthusiast, who would be amazed by its sound, zapped by its performance and enamored by its form factor. V3 series starts at Rs 37999+Tax.

E Series: The Aspire E Series delivers an excellent mobile PC experience for real value. The solid performance, handy multimedia tools, and convenient connectivity make daily computing an easy-going pleasure. The practical yet stylish design comes in various screen sizes so users can choose any model that fits their lifestyle. E series starts at Rs 24749+Tax.
