F5 continues to reinforce its technology leadership as it executes on the company’s vision of an adaptable architecture that will help customers create a smart, converged carrier IP infrastructure. Earlier this year, F5 acquired Traffix, the leading provider of 4G Diameter signaling products for telecommunications service providers to meet the need for converged and unified IP solutions across carriers’ control, data, and application planes.
At the same time, the company is also experiencing growing demand for its security products as the number and complexity of security threats increase. In addition, F5’s VIPRION and BIG IP Application Delivery Networking solutions offer ICSA-certified network firewall capabilities that integrate L3 to L7 security services and provide organizations with protection against new threat vectors, including massive multi-layered and blended attacks.
The company has also expanded its VIPRION family of mid and high range chassis-based Application Delivery Controllers with the addition of solutions designed to enable service providers and enterprises to meet the challenges of rising traffic levels and growing demand for enhanced services. F5 is committed to helping organizations scale their infrastructures by leveraging its clustered multiprocessing technologies.
The Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific ICT Award recognizes F5’s outstanding performance in the region as evidenced by the company’s revenue growth, increased market share, technology leadership, breadth of solutions, key customer wins, as well as business and market strategy.
“F5 is pleased to be named Asia Pacific’s Vendor of the Year for Application Delivery Controllers for the second consecutive year by leading analysts, Frost & Sullivan,” said Christian Hentschel, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, F5 Networks. “F5’s Application Delivery Networking solutions are deployed in major telecommunications organizations, governments and financial services providers in Asia Pacific. These organizations have rigorous requirements for strategic points of control wherever information needs to be exchanged securely and reliably in the IT infrastructure. F5 continues to seek opportunities in the region across cloud initiatives and accelerated mobile traffic growth, by enabling data centers to become more intelligent, and in protecting organizations from increasing threat vectors.”
“F5 is well positioned as an application delivery networking vendor with a clear vision as outlined in the company’s ADC technology roadmap, particularly in its focus on performance and security. The vendor’s ability to ensure application fluency in its ADC solutions has enabled it to leverage the rapid rise in enterprise demand for Layer 7 switching,” said Aliza Shima Kasim, Industry Analyst for Frost & Sullivan’s ICT practice.
She added, “F5’s modular approach makes it easier to customize solutions to meet customers’ needs. The company’s strong partnerships with application vendors as well as the DevCentral community ensure that F5 stays ahead of its competitors and remains one of the most sought after vendors for Application Delivery Controller solutions.”
