ITM University Students Honoured By Government of India

Mechanical Engineering students of ITM University, one among India’s foremost independent multidisciplinary universities, were recently honoured and appreciated by the Government of India, for their innovation and creativity. Two hardworking and dedicated students Dhruvay Jain and Gaurav Jodhani’s projects have been approved by Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) for Rs 1.50 lakh each.

Dhruvay Jain’s project was approved for design and development of a ‘Multi Utility Loader’, while Gaurav Jodhani will design and develop a ‘Universal Detachable Accessory for Bikes & Scooters’.
These projects have been approved as part of the ‘Design Clinic’ scheme of National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad, a nodal agency of the Union ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for promoting design in the industries to enhance competitiveness of their products across the country.
The projects have been awarded to ITM University, based on the students proposals sent to NID. The projects shall be completed in a period of six months. Innovation, creativity and relevance to society are the hallmark conditions for such approvals.
“Both Dhruvay and Gaurav have made us proud with their technological innovation. It is the reward for their unique design which has gone beyond existing products. We strongly believe that the environment in which a student studies is equally important for effective learning and developing innovative ideas. At ITUM, we ensure our students study in an enabling environment equipped with proper guidance and encouragement,” said Prof. Prem Vrat, Vice Chancellor and Professor of Eminence, ITM University.
