Zentyal Enters Into Agreement With Canonical

(Zaragoza, Spain) Zentyal today announced a worldwide, strategic agreement with Canonical to provide an easy-to-use Linux alternative to proprietary IT infrastructure for SMBs. According to the agreement, Zentyal server's underlying operative system, based on Ubuntu, will be officially supported by Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu. Thanks to the agreement small and medium businesses all over the world can now get fully-supported, commercial open-source
infrastructure solutions from one single provider.

"This agreement allows Zentyal and Authorized Zentyal Partners to provide complete Linux infrastructure solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises" said Ignacio Correas, CEO of Zentyal, and continued "although Linux in the enterprise is nothing new, comparable fully vendor-backed infrastructure solutions for SMBs did not exist until this agreement."
Andrew Cooper, EMEA Channel Manager, Canonical commented "Zentyal and its authorised partners specialising in the SMB market will now be able to deliver more value to their customer base through a robust set of technical support and services from Canonical.”
This worldwide, multi-year agreement between Canonical, developer of world's most popular Linux operating system, and Zentyal, developer of the Linux small business server, aims at addressing the growing IT needs of the SMB sector in tough economic times and offering easy-to-use Linux IT infrastructure solutions and services for SMBs.
