Vodafone, Amigos Creations Announce Release Of ‘Life Is Beautiful’

Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, in association with Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Amigos Creations’, today announced the release of the much awaited movie ‘Life is Beautiful’ and its star cast. The actors were chosen as a result of ‘Star Search’ - a state-wide search for the most refreshing face for Sekhar’s film.

Vodafone was the lead sponsor and communications partner for the launch of ‘Star Search’ in September 2010, where in the participants had to walk into their nearest Vodafone Store and fill in a free application form along with their recent photographs. Customers could also log on to “Vodafone live!” to post their entries. Vodafone had also launched a host of VAS offerings wherein users could subscribe to ‘Acting Tips’ from Sekhar Kammula himself. Eleven boys and girls were selected from ‘Star Search’, out of whom Abijeet, Sudhakar, Kaushik, Shagun Kaur, and Zara play the lead roles in the movie. As a part of their 360 degree marketing campaign, Vodafone also undertook a range of innovative on-ground and digital activities.
Besides Sekhar Kammula, who is the producer and director of the movie, the chief technicians such as the cinematographer, Mr. Vijay C Kumar, the editor, Mr. Marthand K Venkatesh and popular music composer, Mr. Mickey J Meyer were also present at the curtain-raiser event. The film is all set to release in mid–August and is a must see film for all Sekhar Kammula fans.
Sharing his thoughts on this successful partnership, Mr. Mandeep Bhatia, Business Head-Andhra Pradesh, Vodafone India said, “Vodafone's association with Mr. Sekhar Kammula is a testimony of our commitment and constant endeavour to offer innovative services to our valued customers. We are glad that we could provide a platform to aspiring young actors and I hope the movie is a great success.”
Speaking on this occasion, Sekhar Kammula, Director and Producer of the movie “Life is Beautiful” said, “We have partnered with Vodafone before and are confident that this association will continue to be a great success. I hope the audience appreciates and enjoys the film.”
To further continue this successful partnership with Sekhar Kammula, Vodafone India also announced the launch of its special ‘Youth Pack’. All Vodafone customers who will utilize the benefits of this pack will also get an exclusive opportunity to be a part of Sekhar Kammula’s next project to showcase their talents in acting and music. This pack includes a Rs 39 Plan Voucher and a Rs 6 Top-up Voucher which allows customers to stay connected with their friends. Group calling (calling among the people who have purchased this pack) will be charged @1p/6 sec and group SMS will be charged @1p/SMS which will be valid for six months. 250 MB 2G data is also available with this pack which is valid for a month from the date of activation. The first 60 seconds per day of Group calling will be charged at 1.2p/sec and other local mobile calls@1.2p/sec and landline calls will be charged @ 1.5p/sec. This will be valid for six months from the date of activation.
In addition, Vodafone also announced a new sms based participation scheme towards the mega music launch of this movie during this occasion. Customers can sms LIB to 56789 (Rs3/sms) to win special invitation passes of the music launch party in Hyderabad. Only selected lucky winners will get an opportunity to be a part of this event.
