American Express Introduces SafeKey To Enhance Online Security

Friday, July 13, 2012: American Express has introduced American Express SafeKey in India to enhance
online security. This tool is all set to be the safest and most convenient
way to shop online. SafeKey is a 3D Secure fraud prevention solution specifically designed to create a safer online environment to protect cardmembers and merchants. India is the third market globally, after Singapore and the UK, where American Express has launched SafeKey to provide an extra layer of risk measures for internet transactions.

merican Express SafeKey makes the online shopping for customers much more
convenient and safer as they do not need to enter lengthy address details
during checkout when shopping online. It provides an added security through-
One Time Password (OTP) which is issued automatically to cardmembers' registered mobile or email address, each time they make an online purchase
at participating merchants displaying the American Express SafeKey logo on
their websites.The company has automatically enrolled all Card members into
SafeKey to make this change the most convenient for them, ensuring it does
not disrupt their experience. Cardmembers can shop online as usual with the
added safety benefits of SafeKey.
