NSOFT Achieves Secure Network Access For Its Customers

NSOFT India Services Pvt Ltd, a leading software solution provider for utility companies, has selected Array Networks' DesktopDirect to prevent data leakage at their development server. NSOFT has also deployed AccessDirect to provide secure VPN connectivity for users who access their Application Server.

NSOFT provides its revenue management services to public utility companies of various states across India. Using NSOFT solutions, utility companies serve10 million consumers in both urban and rural areas.
NSOFT's major concerns were providing secure network access to all their customers, virtualization for different customers on the same box and a DLP solution for the development users. NSOFT wanted to enhance their scalability and performance and they were looking for a solution that would address their current needs and also be future proof. Array Networks was chosen by NSOFT for its world-class support and customizable solutions.
Array Networks addressed NSOFT's secure access, scaling and performance challenges with AccessDirect, running on an SPX 2800 appliance. With this solution, NSOFT can stay worry-free for the next one and a half years, with head room for their user base to increase to 1000 users. NSOFT has many customers and a single Array appliance, with its customizable virtual portal capability, enables NSOFT to securely host many customers and dynamically add new customers without adding more hardware. This significantly enhances NSOFT's ability to meet the needs of new customers while reducing management, operating and equipment costs.
Another NSOFT priority was to protect proprietary source code and prevent data theft from their development servers; as such, they were looking for a flexible trouble-free data leakage protection solution. Array's DesktopDirect module running on the SPX2800 appliance was deployed to address these challenges for 50 developers. DesktopDirect now gives secure access to the development environment and prevents users from performing copy, print or print screen functions on source code and other documents beyond their working environment.
