Pitney Bowes Software (India), the subsidiary of US-based Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), announced today that it has earned recognition as one of India’s 50 Best Companies to Work For in 2012 by the Great Place to Work® Institute.

A benchmark in the human resources industry, the Great Place to Work® survey combines programmes, practices, and methods within organizations to determine the top companies in this space. In its second year of recognition, Pitney Bowes Software stood out in the overall evaluation process, which includes an analysis of its employees’ workplace experience, through the “Trust Index”, and an assessment of the existing policies and programmes, captured in the “Culture Audit”.

Pitney Bowes Inc. has recently opened another R&D center in Pune, India which will be the second center for the company in the country, and will focus on research and development for its global portfolio, including Volly™ – a digital mailbox solution. Over the last two years, the company has won accolades for its HR practices in this region. In December, the company was also named amongst the Top 20 Software Companies in India, as per a survey conducted by DataQuest. Around the same time, Aon Hewitt recognized Pitney Bowes Software (India) as a Top Company for Leaders 2011. In 2010, the India software arm of Pitney Bowes Inc. had won the prestigious ‘Diversity Impact Award’ at the Asia Best Employer Brand Awards 2010, and one of the Best Companies to Work For by the Great Place to Work® Institute.
