FIITJEE Students To Represent India At International Olympiads

FIITJEE students have once again triumphed in various competitive exams including International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), Asian Physics Olympiad and Indian National Mathematics Olympiad.

Kunal Singhal, a student of Two Year Classroom Program, FIITJEE Punjabi Bagh centre has been selected to represent India at International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) and International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), conducted by HBCSE and IARCS respectively. He was the All India topper in Orientation-Cum-Selection Camp (OCSC) of Informatics Olympiad 2012.
He also secured silver medal in Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) 2012 conducted by HBCSE which was held in New Delhi recently.
FIITJEE’S another shining star is Sahil Sharma, a student of Two Year Classroom Program, who has bagged All India Rank-1 in Indian National Mathematics Olympiad-2012. Last year Kunal Singhal was the All India Rank-1 in Indian National Mathematics Olympiad-2011.
Adding one more feather to its cap is the achievement of 53 FIITJEE students, who have been selected for scholarship through JSTSE 2012, conducted by Govt. of Delhi. A total number of 158 students were selected from entire Delhi.
While, FIITJEE Punjabi Bagh Associated School is at Rank-1 among all schools of Delhi in terms of total selections from a single school with 34 selections, defeating schools like DPS RK Puram (Rank-2) and DPS Vasant Kunj (Rank-3). Also, in top-10 ranks, FIITJEE Punjabi Bagh students bagged 8 ranks.
According to Mr. R.L.Trikha, Director, FIITJEE said, “We are very proud of our students for continuing the glorious tradition of FIITJEE. In times when competitive exams have become more competitive, we are very delighted with the achievements of our students. These kind of competitive exams are very good to improve the confidence level of students. It’s also a moment of pride for us, as they have earned a name nationally.”
