ICE X Electronics launched its maiden offering, the ‘ICE Xtreme’ 7” Android-based tablet, marking its debut in the consumer electronics segment. The product was launched by Mr. Ravi Jakhar, Founder and Managing Director, ICE X Electronics. The company simultaneously announced plans to soon launch world’s first ever wireless charging tablet, the ‘ICE Xtreme- II’, and a pico computer to transform regular LED/LCD TV sets into Smart computing devices.
All set to redefine the ‘value-for-money’ segment, the rugged ICE Xtreme has been especially designed to suit all needs, personal and professional of the Indian user. The budget tablet is targeted at the youth and young professionals in Tier I and II cities, who seek value for money without compromising on quality and technology.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ravi Jakhar, Founder and Managing Director, ICE X Electronics said, “ICE X Electronics has entered the Indian market while it is still maturing. Though there are a large number of players in this field, in a country of a billion people, the market also has a potential to easily grow at over 2 million pieces per annum. Weighing 375 g, the tablet runs on the Android ICS 4.0 platform and is powered by an Allwinner A10 1.5 GHz processor. The 1 GB DDR3 RAM delivers a swift and smooth experience, while its massive 4700mAh battery and a humongous 16 GB storage space, including an internal memory of 8GB, allows the user to store and play a host of movies and games while on the move. The external memory can further be expanded to 32 GB, with the user also having an option to connect an external hard drive or 3G internet dongles through the direct USB 2.0 port and no cable is required like most other tablets. A power-packed device with sound ergonomics and excellent performance, the tablet is optimized for superior viewing experience due to a full HD 3D capable HDMI port. Built-in with numerous well thought out features and applications, the WI-FI enabled ICE Xtreme comes pre-loaded with over 100 apps including in-house apps such as Teacher X with premium education content and a rare 2 mega pixel front facing camera.
The ICE Xtreme will be primarily sold through ICE X online store www.icexstore.com and www.icexelectronics.com so as to minimize distribution costs and pass on the resultant benefits to the buyer. Therefore, even with extreme features and specs, the tablet will be sold at a very attractive price of just Rs. 6,999. The tablet will also be available across select consumer electronic chains across India eventually.
Currently, a strong network of over 500 service centers in over 100 cities exists to provide after sales support.
