National Talent Hunt Launched To Address HR Demand-Supply Gap In Logistics Industry

Million Minds Management Services Limited and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport have joined hands to highlight the growing need of manpower in logistics industry, announcing the nation-wide talent hunt to attract more skilled human resource to the industry that is poised to reach the $200 billion mark by 2020.

“Logistics Talent hunt” targets quality visitors, top level professionals from across the country, aspiring management courses pursuing students with real projects to implement and who foresee their career in logistics sector.
The consultancy firm also announced the dates for the 2nd edition of its much awaited industry awards “Logistics Achievers Award & Talent Hunt 2013” on February 9, 2013 in New Delhi.
The conference cum award function will attract professional and students who shall be recognized and rewarded by the eminent jury. In addition, the event will provide a fair-like atmosphere for diverse groups who will conduct presentations, hold competitions and exhibit their unique talents.
Even after being one among the fastest growing industry, Indian logistics sector is facing shortage of manpower. Realizing and understanding the present scenario as solvable enigma, Million Minds Management Services Ltd has collaborated with Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, India to organize “Logistics Achievers Award & Talent Hunt 2013”.
Today, Million Mind Management Solution also held a “Round table on Human resource challenges in Logistics and Supply chain. The principal idea behind the one-day round table was to interact and discuss the issues and challenges on a common platform and strategically devise an undisputed solution to the concern areas. The one day supply chain summit will bring together industry leaders and representatives of reputed organizations in this most interesting and exciting field of supply chain.
“According to industry reports, Logistics industry is likely to cross the $200 billion figure by 2020 but it is struggling in terms of inadequate human resource having knowledge about logistics and supply chain management in India. The industry needs 4, 11,000 skilled people in all categories by 2020. We are organizing this event to generate interest and give career direction to students in logistics sector and to render a platform for enhancing business professional links,” explained Mr. Prem Prakash, Director, Million Minds Management Services Limited.
The panel will judge the efficiency of the students considering the following parameters like – relevance of the topic, main focus, content, original idea, flow of the subject, depth of analysis, logical deductions and recommendation.
