G4S India Launches Hotel Solutions Offering To Cater To The Evolving Security Needs Of The Luxury Hospitality Sector

G4S India launched its offering in the luxury hospitality space at the golden jubilee celebrations of the IHM-Pusa at Hotel Ashok on 15th of September 2012. The evening was once-in-a-lifetime evening of nostalgia and celebration which saw the participation from the likes of Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor - chef and entrepreneur, Mr. Virender S. Datta - former president Fortune hotels, Mr. K.B. Kachru - exec. Vice president Carlson-Rezidor Hotels, Mr. Anil Bhandhari - former chairman and managing director ITDC and Mr. Alok Shivapuri - principal IHM Pusa.

This was preceded with a launch at Mumbai on 5th September at the World Hotel and Resort Development Congress, Powai and a pre-launch at a reception jointly organized by Sir James Bevan KCMG, British high Commissioner and Mr. Neil Prasad, Regional Managing Director G4S South Asia, on 31st August 2012 at the residence of the BHC, in New Delhi.
Foreign investment has been pouring into India from across the globe, in the luxury hospitality sector resulting in expansion of supply of luxury hotel suits. This has resulted in consistent growth in the foreign tourist arrivals, who are demanding maximum security, without any obstruction in their vacation or business travel.
A generic security solution can no more meet the evolving security needs of the luxury hotels. Today, security personnel need to fully integrate with the ethos of the luxury hotels. They should be able to communicate effectively with foreign guests and be able to recognize and greet frequent visitors. Security today has become one of the core functions of a hotel - like F&B, Front Desk etc. Simply put, a smart looking security personnel who knows all about hotel security but doesn't know how to welcome guests is unfit for the job.
Based on these unmet needs G4S has developed Hotel Solutions offering which helps hotels buy services covering these needs. The offering will deliver on these needs through specialized recruitment which will handpick security personnel with skills to excel in the hotel environment. The largest pool of security guards together with internal job portal provides G4S the advantage to recruit at a short notice. In addition to this, hotel specific training program developed in participation with the industry security experts, will impart training to the recruits. Use of latest technology will help in effective delivery of pre-deployment and on-job training. All this is backed by a dedicated management team which will ensure on ground delivery.
