Lava Launches Iris 504Q+ Smartphone @Rs 13,990  
The device will come with gesture motion feature allowing users to interact with the phone with just a swipe of the hand in the air.

Friday, April 18, 2014 Home grown manufacturer, Lava has gone ahead and added another device to its already flourishing Iris series of smartphones. The Iris 504Q+ is a successor to the Iris 504Q and has been priced at Rs 13,990.

The Iris 504Q+ comes with a 12.7-cm (5-inch) HD IPS OGS (One Glass Solution) display with a 720x1280 pixels resolution. It will be powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device will come with gesture motion feature allowing users to interact with the phone with just a swipe of the hand in the air. It will sport a 10MP autofocus rear camera, with an Exmor R sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The dual-SIM phone run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It will come with 8GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD. Connectivity options on the device include: 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. It will deck in a 2000mAh battery.

We have enhanced the highly popular gesture motion functionality of Iris 504Q by bringing in advanced voice and command control apart from major upgrades in internal memory and camera. Bringing one of the most popular mobile messaging services BBM on our smartphones is yet another effort to expand the ambit of messaging services for our consumers to connect and communicate seamlessly with their loved ones." Hari Om Rai, Chairman and Managing Director, Lava International Ltd was quoted during the launch.

Earlier, Lava unveiled the Iris 406Q, a power packed quad core smartphone with 1 GB RAM running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 Processor with Adreno 302 Graphics Unit. LAVA Iris 406Q runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.3 out-of-the-box that can be upgraded to Android 4.4 Kitkat. It is equipped with a 10.16-cm (4-inch) WVGA (480x800 pixels) display. Its 5MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera provides Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL), high performance HDR and noise reduction to images. Its unique and special IML(in-mold labeling) back cover makes the handset highly scratch-resistant.
