The KDE annual world summit Akademy is organised every year to celebrate the Free Software desktop and work towards the future of KDE.

Monday, November 28, 2011: Akademy 2012, the annual world conference held by the KDE community, will take place at Tallinn, Estonia next year. The event will run from 30 June to 6 July 2012, as per the announcement by KDE e.V. The KDE annual world summit Akademy will be jointly organised by the KDE e.V. and the host, the Estonian Information Technology College, which is located near to the Tehnopol Science and Business Park.
Akademy 2011 in Berlin, part of the Desktop Summit, ended a few months ago.

"As always, major support from the local team will be the centre of the organisation for the conference. Claudia Rauch, the business manager of KDE e.V. in Berlin, is the overall project manager, and a small production team will assist. There's a lot that needs to happen for Akademy to go smoothly," the KDE team announced.
