"No Security Concern Over UID Data"

Dinesh Nandwana, chairman and managing director, Vakrangee Software Ltd, shares in an interview with ET Now that though the home ministry has raised questions about the security of UID data collected, he actually sees no security concern on this whole procedure. "There is a clear-cut well-defined procedure. Empanelled enrollment agencies are there. The registrars are managing this whole project and registrars are from the banking and from the state government side. They know the importance of this project," quips Nandwana. The Aadhar controversy sparked off with the home ministry questioning its unsecured data and later with the Parliament questioning the very basis of the UPA government's Unique ID (UID) project.
