Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions has come up with a robot called Windoro, which swipes your windows neat and clean. This robot received a positive response after its release at IFA in Berlin and the CES show in Las Vegas. It is the first of its kind. The price for this unique robot is fixed at Rs 35,990.
The robot comes in two units, one cleans the window and the other takes care of the navigation of the robot. Windoro cleans glasses which have thickness between 5mm and 28mm and it also gives you an option of manual cleaning using a remote control.
In an interview with EFYTimes.com, Rajeev Karwal, Founder and CEO, Milagrow Business and Knowledge Solutions Pvt Ltd, said, “This is the world's first robotic window cleaner and it has also got the title of 'the product of the year' at the CES. One of our products, which is a red hawk, has already gone on the waiting period and we are booked for the next one month. Customers in India are very tech savvy and are ready to adopt the latest technology like never before. In the initial responses and surveys, customers have shown a lot of positive inclination towards the product.”
The company will initially launch Windoro in four major cities in India- Delhi and NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Bengaluru and then it will be launched in other parts of the country. Karwal added, “We are the new brand but I see very high opportunities in departments like health, hospitality and retail as there is a great need for cleanliness in these areas. If everything goes well then in the first year we will be able to sell about 500 to 600 units. The product will reach the customers through e-commerce channels and modern retail stores.”
According to Karwal, Milagrow is also planning to come up with various other robotic products, such as air purifying robots, swimming pool cleaning robots and massaging robots. All these robotic devices are set to launch this year.
Talking about their venture in the robotics, Karwal said, “We are constantly on a look-out for companies which are into robotic and coming up with interesting products, we tie up with them, use their technology and test it out in the Indian market for 6-8 months.”
Milagrow is surely taking the technology one step ahead with such innovative products and 2012 seems to be a happy robotic year for them!
